John Ottaviano

John Ottaviano has over 25 years of experience in mechanical contracting, HVAC design and engineering. After earning a BS in Industrial Engineering from Union College, John worked with the General Electric Company in their Technical Marketing Program. At GE, John was responsible for electrical distribution equipment sales for Walt Disney World's EPCOT Center. John joined Air Ideal as the third generation in what was then a family business in 1982 as a Sales Engineer. John became Sales Manager, Vice President and then President in 1988. John has been an active leader in several trade organizations including President of the Greater New York Chapter of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) and Director of the New York State Alliance for Fair Competition. John is also a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). John has received several Leadership and Service awards from ACCA. John was also named one of Long Island Business News "40 Under 40" in 1999. Along with his partners, Tony and Judy Cutaia, John received the ACCA "Contractor of the Year" award and the US Chamber's "Blue Chip Enterprise Award".
